Cape Breton campuses provide high quality education and training in the skills needed by local industry. Combined, the two campuses have 3,400 students enrolled in full and part time programs.


Marconi Campus located in the urban hub of Sydney offers a full range of programs including business administration, engineering technology, information technology, metal fabrication, welding and wood products manufacturing. The Campus serves as an incubator for small businesses and provides opportunities for students to work part-time in their field of study, build their portfolio, and provides resources for small business development.


The Strait Area Campus in Port Hawkesbury offers nearly 30 full-time diploma programs including carpentry, heavy equipment operator, industrial mechanical, marine engineering technology, natural resources environmental technology and steamfitting/pipefitting. The Campus is also home to the Nautical Institute and School of Fisheries that provide Transport Canada approved marine training. Facilities for marine training include a wave pool, fire field and state-of-the-art simulators for propulsion systems, navigation and global communications.
