Chambers of Commerce

A chamber of commerce is an association or network of businesses and their representatives designed to promote and advocate for the interests of the local business community. In Cape Breton – Unama’ki, there are two active Chambers of Commerce.

Strait Area Chamber of Commerce

The Strait Area Chamber of Commerce is an active and local Chamber that is rapidly growing. They currently have over 300 members from across the Strait Area of Nova Scotia. Their Board of Directors is 16 members strong and has a variety of committees working on specific initiatives to improve business conditions in the region.

Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce

The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce exists to support its members. Its role is to be unwavering in supporting business growth in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) through engaging in and influencing public policy, creating meaningful connections in our business community and nurturing ideas that impact the region’s economic future.
