Thanksgiving with Lauri Ravanello
“I want to do my part to make Cape Breton a welcoming place. Everyone wants to feel wanted and welcome, and the welcome network gives me, and others, the opportunity to offer that gift to newcomers.”
CBRM Welcome Group member Lauri Ravanello invited John Jia and Janette Zhu to her home for Thanksgiving dinner. As a volunteer Welcomer with the Cape Breton Welcome Network, Lauri has connected with several folks who have recently arrived in Cape Breton. She was pleased to be able to welcome people into her home. “We had a lovely time,” says Ravanello. “Lots of fun.”
