Nowruz (Iranian New Year)

Nowruz, which marks the first day of spring, is the most significant and widely celebrated holiday in Iran. It usually falls on March 20 or 21. Iranians prepare for this holiday by cleaning their homes, visiting family and friends, and setting up a haft-seen table with symbolic items. The celebrations last for about two weeks, and they include music, dancing, and public festivities.
