Indigenous Peoples’ Day

The purpose of this day is to celebrate the rich culture and heritage of the Indigenous Peoples in Brazil. This day was previously referred to as “Indian Day,” but in July 2022, Congress approved a measure to change the term “Indian,” which is considered prejudice against the Indigenous People.
