International Holocaust Remembrance Day

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution. On January 27, 1945, Soviet troops entered the Auschwitz complex in Poland, freeing the survivors of the network of concentration camps—and finally revealing to the world the depth of the horrors perpetrated there.
